EUCPSC November Update: St Andrew's Challenge and Welly Ball

Apologies for the delay to this month's newsletter... there is, however, method in my madness, as I've been holding back until we got back from the rather excellent annual competition hosted by St. Andrews University. On that note, a superb weekend was had by all, with some impressive shooting across the board. Particular mention to Giles Hodgson for an impressive individual score of 45/50. Our high score in the flush was 62/100, which was nonetheless a pleasing result, as it was a fair bit more challenging this year. As ever with the flush, enormous fun was had whatever the case!

The following Welly Ball was, needless to say, quite an occasion! We had a great deal of fun, and it provided some useful pointers for our own competition and ball (shameless plug) on 7th February. Bisley at Braidwood have been most supportive of our efforts We've found a venue for the ensuing ball and charity raffle too namely the Scottish Restaurant on the National Gallery on the Mound, a spectacular central location. We are most excited to host this competition, and feel that it could most easily become a regular fixture in the sporting calendar.

In other news, the popularity of our Wednesday and Saturday shoots is ever increasing, which is fantastic to see. It is great to be involving people entirely new to the sport, and bringing them into the way of the clay shooter!
